Here are some photos from my recent trip to South America (we stayed in Buenos Aires, Argentina and also traveled to Uruguay for 48hrs). . . There isn't much organization to these photos (some are from different iPhone applications and some are from my Canon) . . . . My sister Alden was the perfect travel partner and I wouldn't have changed a damn thing. We basically planned our days around mouth-watering beef, blood-red malbec, finding cool local art and flea markets.
We took these first few in this insanely beautiful cemetery in Recoleta (where Eva Peron is burried deep under ground).
We hit up the zoo in Palermo knowing it would be both fun and depressing. . .
I can't even handle how good the beef was in Argentina and Uruguay.
This woman on the right gave Alden and I each an insanely fresh empanada just because. Heaven.
Borrowed a couple of our Uruguayan hostel's rickety old bikes to tool around the waterfront in Montevideo.
Bife de Chorizo for breakfast in our apt in Palermo Viejo.
I think this is my favorite picture. . . This was a little record store in this "post-apocalyptic" looking multi-level vintage clothing mall in Recoleta. (Galeria 5ta Avenida)
Our beautiful/funky little apartment in San Telmo (where we stayed the second week).
Best pizza in BA served right here. The pizzas were freakin huge and the woman just cut a random shape out and gave it to you. No method to her madness. Alden and i each made sure to grab a couple slices our last day in BA for our flights home. . .
Uruguay has funny store names!
Looking sad on our last night in BA.
